Arenales del Sol

Los Arenales del Sol (in Valencian Els Arenals del Sol) is the name of a beach and the residential area formed in front of it, in the municipality of Elche, in the Alicante province (Spain). It has a registered population of 2000 inhabitants in winter, reaching up to 30,000 visitors in summer, and it was awarded the BLUE FLAG for the quality of its waters and its services.

With almost three kilometers of fine white sand, Arenales del Sol beach is one of the most valued on the Alicante coast, both for the quality of its waters and for the richness of its seabed and it’s beautiful dunes. In addition, it is connected to the Clot de Galvany natural area, a wetland located between the urban areas of Arenales del Sol and Gran Alacant.

Ideal place for windsurfing (there is a limited area for this and you can rent the necessary equipment) and other sports and nautical activities, Arenales communicates with El Carabassí thanks to a long promenade that, especially at sunset, is populated by walkers, cyclists and skaters. From this walk you can access the seashore by means of wooden walkways.

It also has large parking spaces, maritime surveillance, tourist information point, umbrella and sunbed service, beach bars, accessibility for people with reduced mobility and regular bus service with Elche, Alicante and Santa Pola.

In addition to a beautiful beach, Los Arenales del Sol also has many restaurants where you can eat delicious paella, fresh fish and shellfish on first line beach.
